The 47-year-old posted a picture of Uncle Willie on Instagram along with a tribute to the 16-year-old dog.
‘Although I understand NOTHING lasts forever the pain is still very real,’ she wrote. ‘RIP Uncle Willie.’
‘He made it 16 long years. He truly was Benjamin Button,’ she said, referring to her Oscar nominated movie about a boy who gets younger as he grows older.
And she told Uncle Willie: ‘I will miss you soooooooooo much!!!’
As Taraji’s companion for more than a decade, Uncle Willie was part of the family.
Taraji told Marie Claire: ‘I would love to [be in a relationship], but he has to see how I move and deal with it. Because I don’t have time to explain. I’ve got work to do.’
The career-focused star has four films scheduled for release in 2018.
